MUSWAY 2 Way Active Component Speaker - (MG6.2A)

With the new high-end MG loudspeaker, MUSWAY is now opening another chapter of award-winning products, this time in the loudspeaker category. One thing is clear right away: The MG6.3A was immediately and brilliantly named "BEST PRODUCT" in the trade magazine Car & Hifi 06/2021. The editors were particularly impressed by the speakers' sensationally low distortion, which "are among the cleanest in recent years."

The 16.5 cm woofer is a feast for the eyes. With its very narrow struts, the high-quality aluminum basket ensures optimal ventilation behind the centering. A beautifully machined and nickel-plated T-plate additionally ventilates the voice coil through several vents, virtually eliminating overheating. This allows the door speaker to reproduce even high levels over extended periods without distortion. This high level is achieved, among other things, by a 13.4 mm long voice coil winding height, which ensures a large linear excursion of the diaphragm. The above-average, 13.7 ounce Y30-quality magnetic drive is protected by a rubber boot.

Another technical highlight is the very complex sandwich membrane. In this case, this means that the upper layer of ultra-thin aluminum is "bonded" to the underlying layer, which in turn is made of lightweight paper. This achieves very efficient damping. The result is a linear frequency response up to 5000 Hz without any peaks.

The MG6.2T is arguably one of the best tweeters on the market. Equipped with a 26 mm silk dome and a coupling volume, the tweeter can be used not only below 2000 Hz, but also reproduces very linearly up to 25,000 Hz. For its excellent performance, it earned the extremely rare 1+ rating in the "Distortion" category (C&H 6/2021).

The small, easy-to-install 7.5 cm midrange driver with a neodymium magnet and fixed phase plug made of solid aluminum also looks extremely elegant. Incredibly, it can be used from 200 Hz to over 18 kHz. With its specifications, it's even suitable as a full-range speaker, functioning well even without a tweeter. A true highlight.
